John Wittner has built several bikes on a Moto Guzzi, the first was a LeMans III, who, aware of the potential sports dormant, began to change, improving, adjusting, perfecting ... other than that it arose from 2 valves engine with 4 valves .. what with whom participated in the championship BOTT USA. getting several victories and winning in 1988.
In Italy participated in the F1 race at Monza in 1989 (not yet called SuperBike hour) and his trusty pilot, (together formed a formidable duo) Doug Brouneck, were admitted as a wild card. Brouneck had never shot on the long circuit of Monza, and had to fight with drivers likes of Marco Lucchinelli, time already on a Ducati 851, gave up for dead all the poor Americans with patched ass and a bike that looked (and probably was) put together in the garage ... with an engine that already seemed dated hour ...
Well the most special thing of that game was that Brouneck Guzzi and its 4-valve, held behind all the qualifying lap and got the pole ... and during the race, held several times behind the best riders, most of the race, the Guzzi ran alone in the lead .. rupture of a cable reel stupid ...
